Frequently Asked Questions

Does my doctor need to prescribe your services?

No. Our medical director is an emergency medicine doctor for over 40 years. When you schedule an appointment, you will be required to fill out a medical intake form. The Dr will then review it and write the order for IV infusions and injections. We do work in conjunction with your functional medicine practitioner, specialist or oncologist when necessary.

Who administers the IVs and injections?

We only employ registered nurses licensed in Michigan.

How long are the appointments?

Most infusions run about an hour. NAD infusions tend to take longer. Injections are around 15 minutes.

What if I have the MTHFR gene?

We only use the highest quality vitamins/minerals here at OM Wellness Center. Vitamin B12 is an essential nutrient that plays a vital role in various bodily functions. The MTHFR gene mutation can affect the body’s ability to process vitamin B12, leading to elevated homocysteine levels and a range of health problems. Methylcobalamin (an active form of B12) is the most functional B12 because it’s already in bioavailable form, the body does not need to convert it. Therefore, we only use the methylated form here!

How do you know what drip or injection to do?

We base your visit according to your history, symptoms and complaints.

Does insurance cover these services?

Unfortunately, they do not, but we do accept HSA/FSA, all major credit cards, cash, Venmo and cash App.

Why should I get an IV vitamin infusion??

IV vitamin infusions can replace and replenish low vitamin levels. Many people lack essential vitamins due to lifestyle, malabsorption problems, or high vitamin use due to activity level. Some people are in high stress situations causing them to burn thru their nutrients.

How long do IV vitamins stay in your system??

Your infusion will restore any depleted vitamin levels and reserves. Excess vitamins leave the body through urination. Some clients have low stress and eat a very well-balanced organic diet so the benefits of the IV can last longer than those in high stress situations or those eating a lower quality diet.

What is IV vitamin therapy?

IV vitamin therapy achieves immediate results by introducing vitamins directly into the bloodstream through a needle applied to a vein in the arm. This method bypasses the need for vitamins to be metabolized in the stomach, thus speeding up absorption and bypassing the loss of valuable nutrients in the digestive system.
